Three Rivers Local Plan Reg 19 public consultation: Last chance to make your voice heard!
You may have received a letter recently from Three Rivers District Council concerning the Local Plan Regulation 19 Consultation, which runs until 25th September.
Please join us at Sarratt Village Hall, The Green, Sarratt, WD3 6AS for a public meeting from 7.00- 8.30 pm on Thursday 3rd September. You will hear an update on what it means for us, have the opportunity to ask questions, and learn how we can make our views heard.
There will be an introduction by Helen (Save our Sarratt) and Laura (Sarratt RA) on how we are working together to help keep Sarratt and the surrounding villages a great place to live, and protect our parish from the threat of overdevelopment. The roles of our organisations, Parish and District Councillors, will be explained.
Our guest speakers are:
Chris Berry, Planning Manager, CPRE Herts: outlining what a Local Plan is; the process by which a Plan is agreed; and where Three Rivers now stands compared with other councils in Hertfordshire.
Rue Grewal, who has served as a TRDC District Councillor, and is leading the fight against Burlington Group's planning application to build on Green Belt at Oxhey Lane, Carpenters Park; most recently at an appeal hearing in July.
The panel session will invite questions from the floor to our expert guests: Chris Berry, Rue Grewal, Three Rivers District Councillor Ciaran Reed and Joint Three Rivers RAs planning lead Jon Bishop.
There will be closing remarks, and guidance on how to comment on the Local Plan.
